Our asset management skills have become an increasingly important resource within our business.

We apply these skills to our partners' assets and to our own portfolio.

With one such asset - Chequers Court - we have begun to turn a 1960s shopping centre into a vibrant retail destination for the local community. It has been extended in partnership with Huntingdon District Council to create exciting new retail space with large contemporary units. The 100,000 sq ft extension has provided the centre with a major anchor tenant, six additional retailers and an extended 400-space car park.

We have engaged in a process of active management and as a result the shopping centre has attracted an interesting mix of tenants and delivered a three-fold increase in Zone A rents.

Plans are at an advanced stage to restructure the rear section of the shopping centre to provide opportunities for new retail formats to open in Huntingdon.
